Nancy Friedland is a photo-based artist who investigates narrative, nature, landscape and loss in her work. After studying photography at the Ontario College of Art and Design she completed her MFA at the Rochester Institute of Technology as a Sir Edmund Walker Scholar. She has also received grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council. Her last body of work, The Pity of Lost Things was shown at Katharine Mulherin Contemporary Art Projects in Toronto, Miller Block Gallery in Boston, and Satellite Gallery in Okayama, Japan. Nancy has shown with Katharine Mulherin since 1998.
